Source Song Festival

Monday-Friday: Source Song Festival is the brainchild of Minneapolis-based pianist Mark Bilyeu and mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski, his recital partner. Together they have put together a fascinating week of workshops, master classes and evening recitals on the subject of the classical art song. Highlights include Monday's opening concert focusing on Twin Cities composers Stephen Paulus and Libby Larsen, and Friday's recital by baritone Anton Belov, which offers a rare opportunity to hear an entire program of songs by Russian composers, sung in the original language. Baritone François Le Roux's performance Wednesday featuring Fauré, Dutilleux, Ravel and Poulenc also looks unmissable. (Various times, MacPhail Center for Music, 501 S. 2nd St., Mpls.; $12-$30, sourcesongfestival.org.)

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
