VIKINGS ROUND 2-3 REVIEW
Who the Vikings chose: Josh Robinson, Central Florida defensive back (third round, No. 66)
Why it makes sense: Adding additional depth to the cornerback stable, the Vikings found themselves a promising speedster, who may need time to develop but will have an entourage of coaches to help that cause. Head coach Leslie Frazier, defensive coordinator Alan Williams and defensive backs coach Joe Woods all boast some form of cornerback expertise. Robinson, who entered the draft after his junior season at UCF, has plenty of upside. Oh, and yes, he's very fast. He clocked a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the combine and also had a 38.5-inch vertical.
What now: The Vikings have nine picks on Saturday, including three fourth-rounders. You'd have to imagine they'd like to come out of tomorrow's chaos with at least two receivers from what they've long touted as a draft pool deep with quality. General manager Rick Spielman has also acknowledged that he will likely give the defensive line and the linebacking corps a look on Saturday.
You should know: Robinson had 46 passes defensed in his three seasons in college. He was a first-team All-Conference USA selection in each of the past two seasons.
