In case you were wondering what the market is for Twins first baseman Justin Morneau, fangraphs has one measure and it's not pretty. The site, when using Wins Above Replacement as its metric for the most attractive free agents in 2014, has Morneau (WAR of 1.0) as the 29th-best free agent-to-be next season among position players. By comparison, Nick Punto (WAR of 1.5) is No. 21.

You can go ahead and play around with some of the other sortable categories. Just know that when you go to WAR, Punto is ahead of Morneau. Punto is ahead of Morneau. Punto is ahead of Morneau.

It doesn't get any easier to type.

Also of interest: 89 total position players listed, ex-Twin Jason Kubel is at the absolute bottom with a -1.5 WAR thanks to some really atrocious fielding numbers.
