TFD: Donovan McNabb's previous team and current team to announce QB decision Wednesday

Good times.

Lest you think Washington's QB problems are over now that the Redskins have shed Viking Nation Public QB Enemy No. 1, think again. They, too, have a QB controversy. In this case, they're trying to pick between Rex Grossman and John Beck -- which isn't exactly Kunis vs. Portman. And they, like the Vikings, will announce their starter on Wednesday:

Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan says he hasn't made up his mind who will start at quarterback next week. Shanahan says he will announce Wednesday whether Rex Grossman or John Beck will get the call against Carolina.

Grossman was benched after throwing four interceptions in Sunday's 20-13 loss to Philadelphia. Beck played the fourth quarter and led the Redskins to their only touchdown.

Several players said Monday they support Grossman. Receiver Santana Moss said there's "no question" that Grossman should remain the starter, saying "that's not even something that should be asked."

Moss added that "you just can't give up on somebody because they had a bad outing."

One bad outing? Bears fans -- perhaps even Bernard Berrian? -- then presumably asked Moss if he'd like to watch film of, oh, pretty much any game from 2003-2008.

The Vikings, of course, are picking between Donovan McNabb and Christian Ponder, which means we have a reason to use this old Chunky Soup commercial. Whee!
