Texas Sizzle Continues

The warmth in Texas will continue as this Memorial Day holiday weekendprogresses. Temperatures Sunday will once again crack the 90-degree mark acrossmuch of the state. Higher humidity will add to the discomfort of the day acrosseastern areas.Cooler air will grace the northern Texas Panhandle Sunday, holding temperaturesto the 80s. Ahead of this invading cooler air, thunderstorms will rumble fromWest Texas to northern Oklahoma and eastern Kansas. It is not out of thequestion that a few of these thunderstorms turn severe.

The rest of the state should remain dry Sunday. The exception will be theHouston area, which will mark the western extent of thunderstorms accompanyinga system in the South.
