For the second straight week, the Vikings employ the defender who has been named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week.
This time it was cornerback Terence Newman who garnered the honor after picking off a pair of passes in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Raiders. He was also credited with five pass break-ups and four tackles.
It was the second time that Newman, 37, has won the award. The first was way back in his rookie season in 2003, when he played for the Cowboys.
Last week's winner was nose tackle Linval Joseph, in case you've forgotten.
