Admission and food prices are up this year, making a trip to the Minnesota State Fair more expensive than before. We want to know your tips for how to do a day at the fair on a budget.

The price of admission for the Minnesota State Fair is up. So are food prices at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Add in rides and entertainment and spending a day at the fair can quickly add up.

So we want to know: How do you save money at the fair? We want your tips on how to do a day at the fair on a budget.

Have you spent decades cultivating a route (and schedule) to hit all of the free merchandise booths? Is there a great deal at a food stand where you always get a meal? Where's the best place to catch a free show?
