A teenager was killed when two pickup trucks collided Sunday on a southwestern Minnesota highway, the State Patrol said.

Jordan Peter Clapsaddle, 18, was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado south on Hwy. 23 that collided with a northbound Ford pickup just after 7 p.m. at milepost 63.5 in Lyon Township in Lyon County, the patrol said.

Clapsaddle, of Russell, Minn., died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.

Two people in the northbound pickup were injured. Driver Justice Jensvold, 25, of Granite Falls, Minn., and Rachel Evangelisto, 21, of Rapid City, S.D., were taken to a hospital in Marshall, Minn. Both were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

Roads were wet at the time.

Alcohol was detected in Clapsaddle's system, the patrol said.
