A 17-year-old girl from Red Wing, Minn., was injured Friday evening when a boulder tumbled off the side of a bluff and hit her car on southbound Hwy. 61 in Wabasha County.

Sydney F. Flack was taken to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Wabasha with noncritical injuries, according to the State Patrol.

No one else was involved in the crash, which happened at 6:35 p.m. Friday at milepost 66 between Lake City and Wabasha.

In addition to the State Patrol, sheriff's deputies and Wabasha police officers assisted at the scene.

On Saturday morning, the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office posted the following on Facebook: "We have had quite a few roads where rocks can fall from above. In the last couple of days alone there have been a few instances of troubles caused by these rocks. Always be alert to changing conditions, including rocks!"
