Veteran backup Shaun Hill started at quarterback against the Seahawks.

A Vikings spokesman said it was a "coach's decision" to not start Teddy Bridgewater, who participated in all three practices this week. Coach Mike Zimmer will provide further details after the game, the spokesman said.

Bridgewater was spotted in pads on the Vikings sideline during the game.

Presumably, the Vikings held Bridgewater out of this second preseason game for precautionary reasons. We'll see if there is more to the story.

In other news, starting cornerback Xavier Rhodes injured his hamstring on Seattle's first drive of the night and will not return to the game.
