Tea-Paw: Birth of a candidate?

Pawlenty praises Tea Party movement

March 1, 2011 at 5:00PM

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty released a new video Tuesday highlighting his speech at a weekend Tea Party convention in Phoenix. "I think the Tea Party is a great addition to the conservative coalition and the coalition for change in this country," Pawlenty said in the video. "I think the Tea Party is a welcome, helpful, energetic, forward-leaning organization." It's the third in a series of slickly-produced video offerings, all with movie-trailer feels, and all in anticipation of Pawlenty's expected run for the GOP 2012 presidential nomination.
Titled "Tea Party: A New Birth of Freedom," the video promotes the movement of grassroots conservatives that helped Republicans in 2010, and which Pawlenty will need if he wants to be the GOP's 2012 standardbearer.
