#tattoogate: Apple Watch not working on tattooed wrists

Apple Watch enters #tattoogate

Every new Apple product catches some wacky bug that makes headlines. This one was unexpected, though: #tattoogate. Some Apple Watch buyers have posted videos showing that the timepiece's body sensor doesn't work properly on a tattooed wrist. At press time, Apple hadn't commented on the dilemma. Several tech sites think it has something to do with the ink blocking the watch's infrared and green LEDs, which determine the wearer's heart rate.
