Several weeks ago we wrote about how Michele Bachmann has been falsely claiming that she is Nancy Pelosi's "top target" in this year's mid-term elections. The reality, according to Bachmann's office, is that the director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (not Pelosi) mentioned her last June while reviewing some "promising targets."

Speaking to a crowd in North Dakota on Friday, she downgraded herself to just a "high-value" target, but the claim was still there (h/t to The Minnesota Independent for spotting the video).

"I am Speaker Pelosi's high-value target this next fall. I am. I'm not making that up. She released her list of her top 8 targets."

That "list" is actually some seats mentioned by DCCC Executive Director John Vogel in an interview with the National Journal over the summer. She is also on a recently released DCCC list of 26 races to watch in 2010.

As for a connection between the DCCC and the speaker, Bachmann spokester Dave Dziok said last month that, "There's no on the record directive to my knowledge from Pelosi to the DCCC" to pursue Bachmann.

For a refresher on how often Bachmann has made this claim, check out the video below:
