Just an hour after unveiling a Jan. 11 concert by Keith Urban, Target Center had to announce the postponement of the Dec. 5 date with another popular pop-country act, Lady Antebellum. The new Lady A date is already rebooked for Feb. 7, just one of 60 concerts postponement on the Nashville trio's upcoming tour.
The band is already behind the normal tour schedule behind its latest album, "Golden," which came out in May but was soon followed by the birth of singer Hillary Scott's daughter in July. A deluxe version of the album is due next month, which was the only reason alluded to in an apologetic message on the band's website about the tour postponement. It reads:
"To accommodate the new release and in order to give you guys the best show possible, we've had to move things around on our tour schedule. We hope those changes aren't too much trouble for you, and that we'll get to see you in one of the more than 60 cities the tour will hit next year."
All tickets to the Dec. 5 date will be honored at the Feb. 7 show, and more seats are available. Refunds will be given to fans who can't make the makeup date. Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves are still the scheduled opening acts for the show. Target Center also recently had to reschedule Toronto rapper Drake's concert there, moved to Dec. 8 from Oct. 5.
As for the Urban concert -- which thankfully falls on a Saturday night for Twin Cities fans -- the Aussie countryman will be joined by Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch on his Light the Fuse Tour.
