An SUV driver ran a stop sign at a western Wisconsin intersection before dawn Thursday, crashed into a car and killed the other motorist, authorities said.
The wreck occurred about 5:45 a.m. in the Township of Peru in Dunn County, the Sheriff's Office said.
According to the Sheriff's Office;
A 67-year-old man was driving his SUV north on County Hwy. O, "failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection," and struck a car heading west on Hwy. 85 with a 54-year-old man behind the wheel.
Emergency medical personnel began lifesaving measures, but the car's driver was declared dead at the scene.
The SUV driver was slightly hurt.
Authorities have yet to identify either motorist.
