A man and a woman, both in their 80s, were found Wednesday shot to death in a home in the Cedar-Isles-Dean neighborhood of Minneapolis in what police suspect was a murder-suicide.

Police received a request late Tuesday afternoon for a welfare check after the residents of the home in the 2700 block of Drew Avenue S. “had not been heard from for several days,” a police statement read.

“Preliminary information indicates this may be a domestic-related murder-suicide,” the police statement continued.

Police have yet to say which of the two was responsible for the gunfire.

Officials have yet to release the pair’s identities.
