Columbia Heights police are looking for a man who entered a chiropractic clinic Wednesday morning and stabbed an employee.

The assailant was inside Northeast Chiropractic Clinic at 3984 Central Ave. NE. around 11 a.m. when a scuffle ensued and the employee was cut with a knife, police said.

It was not immediately clear what or if there was a relationship between the attacker and the victim or why the suspect was at the clinic, said Capt. Lenny Austin.

The employee suffered noncritical injuries, Austin said.

A posting on Facebook by a person claiming to be the victim's dad said he had to get 10 stitches on his left hand and was sprayed with ammonia.

Austin said the stabbing appears to be an isolated incident and not connected to other crimes in the city.

Police are trying to get surveillance video to help them identify the suspect. Anybody with information is asked to call the Anoka County Sheriff's Office at 763-427-1212.
