Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in St. Cloud that left one man wounded.

Just before midnight on Monday, a Stearns County sheriff's deputy and several St. Cloud police officers arrived at a home in the 7000 block of Northwood Lane in St. Cloud to investigate a possible assault when an armed man inside broke out a window and fled, according to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).

The BCA said that evidence at the scene shows that the suspect, who hasn't yet been named, fired his weapon and that at one point, a deputy also fired.

The man was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with noncritical injuries. Two officers also deployed Tasers to apprehend him.

The deputy and four police officers, who also haven't yet been named, are on standard administrative leave while the BCA investigates the incident.

St. Cloud police and the Stearns County deputies don't use body cameras, but the BCA said state investigators are looking into whether squad car cameras captured the incident.
