A suspect who police say may be responsible for more than 60 burglaries across the Twin Cities is in Hennepin County jail awaiting charges.

After a multiagency investigation, Plymouth police arrested the 60-year-old Minneapolis man last Thursday as he allegedly was burglarizing Fantastic Sam's in Plymouth. Led by Eden Prairie police, 16 law enforcement agencies from Wayzata to Woodbury worked together to investigate a string of burglaries that took place from Oct. 31 to Dec. 4 in five counties and 13 cities. Eden Prairie police said more than $10,000 in cash along with some electronics were stolen in the burglaries.

"The collaboration and information-sharing that has occurred over the course of the investigation was essential in locating the suspect while he burglarized another business and making the arrest," Eden Prairie police Sgt. Dave Becker said.
