A suspect in the Dec. 28 shooting death of a teenage boy on the Fond du Lac reservation was arrested Wednesday, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reported.

Joseph Fohrenkam, 18, was wanted in the death of Joseph James Peterson, 16, who lived on the reservation near Cloquet, Minn. He was arrested at an apartment on the White Earth reservation, in Mahnomen County, authorities said. He has been charged with manslaughter in the second degree.

A 25-year-man and a 38-year-old woman, Fohrenkam's mother, were also sought for questioning in connection with Peterson's death, and were located earlier.

A 911 call early on Dec. 28 brought sheriff's deputies and reservation police officers to a home on Giiniw Road, where they found Peterson dead in a pickup truck outside the residence.
