Sure sign Legislature has convened

Vending machine prices rise at the State Capitol

February 4, 2010 at 9:29PM

Before today -- the start of the 2010 Legislature -- a can of Coca Cola Cherry Zero in the vending machines located in the basement of the State Capitol was 85 cents. Today: $1.

A bag of Earl's Popcorn Supreme was $1 before today. Today: $1.25.

The good news: If things go according to form, the prices will drop as soon as the Legislature adjourns in May.
