Sunshine at the Winter Games Today

Canada's 2010 Winter Games will go forward under bright sunshine againtoday.Dry offshore wind flow will hold sway, as it did Sunday, ensuring a nearlycloudless sky. Sunshine will warm the city of Vancouver and the valley floorsof Whistler to about 50 degrees by mid-afternoon.

Mountain sites at Whistler and Cypress will reach the moderate 40s. Winds willbe light at all the venues.

The pattern of dry, bright weather will break down beginning late in the day onTuesday, when the first in a series of Pacific weather systems will begin tospread its clouds, rain and mountain snow into western British Columbia.
