Canada's 2010 Winter Games will go forward under bright sunshine again today.

Dry offshore wind flow will hold sway, as it did Sunday, ensuring a nearly cloudless sky. Sunshine will warm the city of Vancouver and the valley floors of Whistler to about 50 degrees by mid-afternoon.

Mountain sites at Whistler and Cypress will reach the moderate 40s. Winds will be light at all the venues.

The pattern of dry, bright weather will break down beginning late in the day on Tuesday, when the first in a series of Pacific weather systems will begin to spread its clouds, rain and mountain snow into western British Columbia.
