Sunday's Arctic Chill in the East, Midwest

Biting cold heightened by stinging winds will grip the East and much of theMidwest on Sunday as an extended cold wave unfolds.AccuWeather.com RealFeel Temperatures will hover near and below zero atPittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and Minneapolis.

The feel of single-digit cold will effect residents of Boston, New York,Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Truly harsh, even dangerous chills reaching 10 to 20 degrees below zero willlurk along the northern Great Lakes and throughout northern Ontario, Canada.

In short, the cold will necessitate care in dressing for any outdoor activity.

Extended exposure can bring frostbite, so a warm covering of extremities willbe a must.

Even a routine drive to the supermarket can become serious in the event of abreak-down. Motorists are urged to keep adequate warm clothes in their car forall trips, be they long or short trips.
