Big Ben Ben Zobrist finished eighth in the MVP voting in 2009 but has remained somewhat underrated for Tampa Bay. Last year, his on-base-plus-slugging percentage slipped to .699, down from .948 the previous year. But he racked up a team-record eight RBI in Thursday's first game against the Twins and added a two-run homer in the nightcap to finish the series with 13 RBI. "This must be what it's like to feel like Sam Fuld," Zobrist said.

Something's up at Wrigley If the Twins raised eyebrows with their recent postponements, they've got nothing on the Cubs. On Wednesday night, it wasn't raining in Chicago, and it was 10 degrees warmer than it had been the previous two nights when the Rockies defeated the Cubs. But with Casey Coleman and his 7.25 ERA lined up opposite Colorado lefthander Jhoulys Chacin (2.47 ERA), the Cubs were quick to declare a rainout.

Available for a price? It's hard to imagine the Twins taking on much more salary in a trade, but another potential middle-infield target could be Boston's Marco Scutaro, who has been displaced at shortstop by Jed Lowrie. Scutaro is making $5 million this year. He also has a $3 million player option for next year.
