Cleveland hitters led the majors in walks entering Saturday, at 4.8 per game. No other team had more than 3.8. Cleveland was 12-5 against righthanded starters and 2-5 against lefties. With new addition Johnny Damon, the Indians can fill their lineup with all lefthanded hitters against righties: Switch-hitters Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana, along with Damon and other lefties including Jason Kipinis, Travis Hafner, Shin-Soo Choo, Michael Bradley, Casey Kotchman and Jack Hannahan.

The Twins have the worst starting pitching in the majors, but the whole division wishes it was better. A look at each team's starting pitching ERA entering the weekend and where it ranked in MLB: White Sox (3.73 ERA, 16th), Indians (4.11, 19th), Tigers (4.28, 21st), Royals (5.39, 27th), Twins (7.06, 30th).

Detroit's No. 2 starter, Doug Fister, has been out since April 8 because of a strained muscle in his left side, but he's getting closer to a return. On Wednesday, he tossed four scoreless innings for Class AAA Toledo and might need just one more rehab start before rejoining the rotation.
