The Ozzie & Kenny soap opera is turning ugly again. With the White Sox trying to keep themselves relevant in the AL Central race, the Chicago-Sun Times revealed more behind-the-scenes blow-ups between manager Ozzie Guillen and General Manager Ken Williams. The Marlins reportedly want to hire Guillen for the opening of their new ballpark next year, and much like last September, it seems time for White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf to pick a side. Guillen and Williams can no longer co-exist.

Manny Acta is a strong candidate for Manager of the Year, even if the Indians finally fade. They were a consensus fourth-place pick but entered the final month with hope, despite a slew of injuries. They just took three of four from Oakland without Shin-Soo Choo, Grady Sizemore, Travis Hafner, Michael Brantley and Jason Kipinis.

Twice this year, Doug Fister has made three consecutive starts allowing fewer than two earned runs. He did that for the Mariners and didn't get a single win. In this last stretch for the Tigers he is 2-0, and Detroit has won all three games.
