Does anyone's spring break start before March 7? Sun Country must think so. Its new sale offers a 50 percent discount off coach airfare for two to Orlando, Ft. Myers, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Laughlin.
It's a great deal, but you need to travel on short notice. You must complete your travel by March 6 to take advantage of the sale price. Sun Country's website makes it really easy to see the one-way fares, which are listed day-by-day on a monthly calendar. For example, a trip from Mpls. to Orlando leaving on Feb. 22 is $123, returning to Mpls. on Feb. 28 is $109 for a total of $232. But if I use the promo code of FEBSALE I can buy two tickets for $232.
Another advantage of Sun Country is that you can upgrade to first class for an additional $118 at the counter, if seats are available.
If you've been saying to yourself that you want to escape the winter on the cheap, this is a good start.
