Summit's popular Unchained series (limited-edition unique beers) will continue with an India Style Rye Ale, which the St. Paul brewery describes thusly in a press release: "A medium bodied beer that infuses spicy rye malts and Citra hops – two ingredients never used by the brewery before. ... India Style Rye Ale uses specialty rye malts such as Crystal Rye, Chocolate Rye and Flaked Rye, along with 2-row Harrington. The brew contains Summit hops for bittering and Citra hops for aroma. It's also dry hopped with Citra. And American Ale yeast gives the beer a nice, clean flavor."

Brewer Mike Lundell will be hosting a few release parties to celebrate its release: March 1: Jersey's in Inver Grove Heights at 8pm; March 4: Muddy Pig in St. Paul at 6pm; March 5: Tracy's in Mpls at 7pm, and March 11: Shamrock's in St. Paul at 6pm.
