Minnesotans dream of summer in color: green pines, blue lakes, crimson sunsets and the golden sheen of slab walleyes. For the nearly 1.5 million people who fish here, those dreams will come true this June, July and August —as they will for the still-larger throngs who camp, bike and hike. ¶ What's your summer dream? To repeat a favorite adventure from years past — or to experience one as yet only imagined? In Outdoors today, former Twins greats Kent Hrbek and Jack Morris, along with Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman and KSTP-TV anchor Bill Lunn, join Peggy Ladner of The Nature Conservancy, canoe outfitter Sue Prom and columnist Dennis Anderson in recalling memorable summer quests. And plans for still more.
