Summer concerts at Caponi Art Park in Eagan

Family-friendly shows include classical music, jazz, West African dance.

Caponi Art Park in Eagan has announced five outdoor Sunday concerts for the summer. The Art Park is named after sculptor (and longtime Macalester professor) Anthony Caponi, who turns 90 this year.

Weather permitting, the concerts take place in an outdoor amphitheater called Theater in the Woods. While "officially" free, the nonprofit park asks for a $4 donation per person for its concerts. Rain dates are announced on the park's website.

Minnesota Sinfonia, 7:30 p.m on June 19.

Dakota Valley Summer Pops Orchestra, 6:30 p.m. on July 10

Sumunar Indonesian Gamelan and Dance Ensemble, 6:30 p.m. on July 24

Voice of Culture West African Drum and Dance, 6:30 p.m. on August 7

Bill Evans New Orleans Jazz Band, 6:30 p.m. on August 21
