The names of two children and their mother, all victims of a south Minneapolis shooting on Friday, have been released by the Richfield school district.

The two children died and their mother was badly wounded in the shooting, which police said was domestic.

Nahily Ronquillo was a 5th-grader at Richfield Dual Language School while her brother, Luis Ronquillo, was in 8th grade at Richfield Middle School, according to the district.

Their mother was identified as Maria Romero, formerly a Richfield district employee.

A man involved in the incident was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and relationship to the other victims hasn't been released.

The shootings occurred at 7:10 a.m. in an apartment in south Minneapolis' quiet Wenonah neighborhood.

Sgt. Catherine Michal, spokeswoman for the Minneapolis Police Department, said the woman injured in Friday's incident was in critical condition late Saturday night, the last time she received an update.
