Last week, the University of Minnesota announced that it had canceled its fall commencement because Northrop Auditorium, the traditional site of the ceremony, is being renovated:

This week, the editorial board of the Minnesota Daily, the U's student newspaper, criticized the move and pushed the U to find another site, even if it means moving the ceremony off campus:
