The Hunt Down

Name: Hassan Jones Claim to Fame, Minnesota: the Vikings' fifth-round draft pick in 1986, Jones played wide receiver for the Purple from 1986-1992. Had his best season in 1990 with career highs in receptions, yardage and touchdowns. Brought up today solely because of his catch of a Wade Wilson Hail Mary as the first half of the 1987 Saints/Vikings playoff game in the Superdome ended. Claim to Fame, Everywhere Else: the Florida native went to high school in Clearwater and college at Florida State. He finished his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Where He Is Now: on probation and in counseling after pleading no contest to a domestic issue in 2009. This was reportedly not Jones' first run-in with the law. Let's talk about something else. Is He on Twitter: No. Glorious Randomness: Clearwater, Fla. is home to Hulk Hogan, Lisa Marie Presley and the Church of Scientology world headquarters. Also, Jones had a teammate on the 1983 Florida State team named Weegie Thompson, which is a better name than yours.
