Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has set an April 8 date at First Avenue, part of his 17-gig spring tour that winds up at Coachella. Tickets ($20) go on sale Friday morning. Can't say I'm crazy about Julian's clumsily electronica-fied solo album, "Phrazes of the Young," but it has its moments, and he should still be Mr. Cool on stage. His band includes drummer Alex Capretis (Nine Inch Nails session guy) and guitarist Blake Mills (Band of Horses backup guy). The sets on their November-December tour were predictably comprised of "Phrazes" songs, assorted covers and just a Strokes or two in just a few cities. Reviews were quite positive.
