A woman was grazed in the arm by a bullet while she was sleeping early Sunday and another person was hit when glass was shattered by another random bullet Sunday afternoon, Minneapolis police said.
Neither of the injured people required medical attention, said police spokesman John Elder.
The first shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Sheridan Avenue N. The bullet went through a window frame before it hit the woman. The shooter may have been aiming at the house, but the woman was not the intended target, Elder said. She did not want to be taken to a hospital, he said.
About 12:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Irving Avenue N., a bullet went through a window and a person in the house was injured either by the bullet or by flying glass, Elder said.
In that case, he said, the shooter likely wasn't aiming at the house. Again, the victim did not want medical attention.
No arrests have been made in either case, he said.
