A weak disturbance emerging from the Rockies will cause thunderstorms to dotthe central Plains this afternoon. The thunderstorms will then race towards theborder of Arkansas and Missouri at night.The thunderstorms will be widely separated with the severe weather threateven more isolated. Still, the potential for a few thunderstorms to producestrong winds and pounding hail cannot be ruled out. Dangerous lightning isalways a risk with thunderstorms, even when severe weather criteria is notanticipated.
