A storm will bring snow and poor travel conditions to the Deep South Fridaynight. Southeastern Texas and southern Louisiana have already been getting arare early season snowfall, and the storm will spread into Mississippi, Alabamaand northern Georgia overnight. Late at night, the leading edge of the snowwill reach all the way to southwestern Virginia.Snowfall through the South will be on the order of 1 to 3 inches. Definitelynot a large amount, but certainly enough to cause slippery travel conditions, especially considering that Southerners aren't used to this sort of thing.

Saturday, the snow will be over in the Gulf states, and anything that is on theground will melt away pretty quickly.
