Storm for Southern California, Arizona, Next Week

Rain and mountain snow will return to Southern California and Arizona next weekfollowing a welcome, even if short-lived, hiatus.Widespread rain, some heavy, will overspread Southern California on Mondaynight and Tuesday. Snow will fall well up in the mountains.

Rain will fall in earnest over Arizona on Tuesday night and Wednesday with rainbecoming snow along the rim country.

Significant rain and mountain snow could also invade southern Nevada andsouthern Utah.

The impact of this storm, while less than those of the present week, could beto trigger minor flooding and Southern California mudslides. Travel through thehigh country will be prone to disruption owing to substantial snowfall.
