Stillwater shifts date of Home & Garden Show

January 25, 2014 at 8:19PM

The weather outside might be frightful, but event organizers want you to start thinking about spring projects. The annual Home & Garden Show in Stillwater has been moved to March 1 to avoid conflicting with four other similar local shows. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rutherford Elementary School, 115 Rutherford Road, Stillwater.

The Greater Stillwater Area Chamber of Commerce, the show's sponsor, decided on an earlier date after a survey of members. The move is aimed at drawing more attention and attendance and allows businesses to participate in other shows later in the month.

It is expected to attract more than 80 exhibitors, and will include seminars, educational activities for kids and prize drawings and giveaways.
