Among girls' teams, Forest Lake, fourth in the Class 2A state meet last fall, is ranked No. 2 in Class 2A in the coaches association rankings.
Suburban East rival East Ridge, led by junior Emily Betz (13th in the 2012 2A state meet), was ranked No. 5.
Wayzata is ranked No. 1 in both Class 2A polls.
