Construction alert
Hitting a wall at the airport, literally? Chalk it up to major renovations going on there. As the ticketing and baggage claim areas of Terminal 1 undergo a complete renovation, several areas will be walled off. This means travelers’ typical walking paths to those service areas — and the tram level — may have changed.
Look for floor and overhead signs, which will be updated as necessary. Customer service associates will also be on hand to help guide travelers.
Outside, the airport is making way for a new 5,000-space parking ramp and an on-site hotel scheduled to open in 2018. In the process, expect occasional lane closings on airport roadways that could slow things down during busy times.
