WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Attendance at this year's Wisconsin State Fair has topped 1 million — the largest crowd in more than four decades.

Favorable weather attracted 10 percent more people to the fair compared to last year. More than 3,200 exhibitors participated in fair competitions, including livestock, horticulture, crafts and culinary.

State Fair officials say more than 387,000 cream puffs were consumed during the 11-day run. Wisconsin Potato Growers served more than 57,000 baked potatoes. And, the new beer doughnuts at Miller Lite Sports Bar & Grill had 18,000 takers.
