State: Aide sexually assaulted 2 residents of Rochester assisted-living facility

March 12, 2011 at 1:30AM

A male aide at an assisted-living facility in Rochester, Minn., sexually assaulted two residents while helping them shower, according to a state investigation released this week.

In both instances at Madonna Meadows, the aide fondled the women's breasts and abused them as he washed their genital areas, according to the Minnesota Department of Health investigation.

The aide denied that he abused the women, but was fired, the report said.

Rochester Police Capt. Brian Winters said Friday the aide is still under investigation but has not been arrested or charged.

The state report disclosed a date for only one of the incidents, Dec. 21, 2010. As is the Health Department's practice, the names of the aide and the victims were not released.

Madonna Meadows was found not responsible for either incident.
