May 10, 1988 The cherry was lowered onto the spoon at the sculpture garden across from the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis Monday. The sculptors of the piece, titled "Spoonbridge and Cherry", are Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Breuggen, who are husband and wife. The diameter and the spoon is 52 feet long.
