A pickup truck veered off Interstate 35 in east-central Minnesota and rolled over, killing the St. Paul woman behind the wheel, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Monday near Rush City, according to the State Patrol. Colleen M. Day, 53, was heading south when she "veered sharply to the left" into the grassy median and rolled over, the patrol said. The woman was partly thrown from the pickup and was dead at the scene, the patrol added.
The patrol has yet to determine whether Day was wearing her seat belt. No information was yet available on what prompted the pickup's sudden change in direction.
