Tom Tisell remains the only man to ever have won the Minneapolis Marathon. The 43-year-old from St. Paul won for the third time in a row, finishing Sunday's race in 2 hours, 42 minutes, 26 seconds.

Janusz Malski was second, with Jason Tischer of Blaine third.

Bemidji's Jessica Lovering, 22, won the women's race in 3:07:26, more than 10 minutes ahead of second-place finisher Madeline Harms of Minneapolis. Elise Rock finished third.

There were 817 finishers in all, 492 men and 325 women.

Stillwater's Joshua Kaul, 21, won the half marathon in 1:13:14, the top finisher among 999 men. St. Paul's Meghan Mason, 23, finished first among 1,758 women, winning in 1:25:15.

Saints sweep Alberto Rolon pitched six shutout innings in his first start of the season and the Saints earned an American Association series sweep of host Grand Prairie with a 7-0 victory.

Rolon (3-0) had made eight appearances out of the bullpen before Sunday's start. He gave up four hits while walking three and striking out five, retiring the first nine batters he faced in order.
