What you'll find: Magic, whimsy, art and an aura of the divine feminine. Oh, and no small amount of vintage-inspired clothes, goddessy dresses, Kentucky Derby-worthy hats and statement accessories. "We sell a lot of fascinators," says owner Katheryn Menaged.

When Menaged opened Scarborough Fair in 2013, she hoped it would be a gallery space that enchanted and inspired women. The clothes came later, when she realized that as her own life shifted and changed, she couldn't find the clothes she wanted to wear in her size. "So I brought in plus-size clothes and plus-size women found me," she says. "Then really thin women came in and said, 'We have a really hard time finding flowy, goddessy things, too.' " Today, Scarborough Fair carries clothes with a "romantic rocker" vibe — Menaged calls Stevie Nicks her patron saint — in sizes XS to 3X.

What you won't find: Straight lines, unimaginative clothes, fast fashion. "The women who come into the shop don't want to wear suits anymore," says Menaged.

Who will love it: Women of all ages and sizes who are looking for playful, romantic and well-made clothes that they can't find anywhere else in the metro. "We just started carrying Terry Macey, a designer from England," says Menaged. "I think we're the only ones in the United States to carry that brand." Women with a special event on the horizon also gravitate to the shop. "We do a big mother-of-the-bride business," she says.

Extra: Enjoy beautiful clothes, socializing and raising money for a good cause? Scarborough Fair hosts events throughout the year and donates a portion of proceeds to charity.
