St. Paul police are investigating a death on the city's East Side Sunday night.

Details were unavailable at 9:30 p.m., but audio captured on the Police Clips website reported that a woman in the Railroad Island area west of Payne Avenue had been shot in the chest.

Last week, two people were fatally shot on the East Side during a string of violent incidents that saw five people shot and killed in St. Paul and Minneapolis in a span of three days.
