A sport utility vehicle went off the road Thursday night in Mendota Heights and rolled over, killing the 80-year-old driver, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 8:40 p.m. on eastbound Hwy. 110 near Dodd Road, according to the State Patrol.
Killed was David A. Jones of St. Paul. Jones, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, according to the patrol.
Jones had been ticketed twice since 2004 for failure to wear a seat belt, according to court records, once in Bloomington and once in St. Paul.
