A man who pleaded guilty to soliciting a teenage girl to have sex for money was sentenced Thursday in Ramsey County District Court.
Oswaldo J. Ramirez has already spent 119 days in jail and won't face any more time behind bars. District Judge William H. Leary put him on probation for three years and ordered him to attend a sex-offender treatment program, pay restitution and meet other conditions.
Ramirez, 34, of St. Paul, pleaded guilty in August after he was accused of propositioning a 13-year-old girl at a St. Paul bus stop by giving her a note that read "Ruben $300/1 hr.," along with a phone number.
Later, a detective posing as the girl's older sister began corresponding with Ramirez, receiving from him repeated requests for nude photos.
